The Power of Targeted Campaigns...
Jay Lohman, founder and president of Lohman Company, PLLC, came to WalshCOMM with specific marketing objectives in mind. He and the partners wanted to increase visibility of the 6-year-old firm in the community and the media, as well as attract highly-qualified professionals to join the firm. We launched public relations and advertising campaigns to help get the word out.
Both campaigns are specifically targeted to generate attention from desired audiences. Before hiring WalshCOMM, the firm tried typical ways to find new employees: advertising in the want-ads and using recruiters. WalshCOMM took a new approach – going straight to the CPA source. We purchased ad space on the back cover of AzCPA, the magazine for the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants.
The ads (pictured below) highlight an employee along with a testimonial about why he or she works at Lohman Company. The testimonials are targeted too – featuring unique aspects of the accounting firm, including an emphasis on work/life balance. Lohman Company received immediate response from the CPA community. Within one month, the firm hired a new employee that came to Lohman Company after seeing the ad. And, the trend continues…
